Martin Zet The basic axis in the very begining of ZCCA could be called: ALS (Alytus, Lithuania-Libusin, Czech Republic-Saitama, Japan). It somehow expressed the need of decentralisation - founding new centres outside the capitals. Nowadays - because of many new branches and twigs it is a little confusing to think about ZCCA in this sence. It (still) is a live organism, which never has been corrupted, which is not affraid to use any – it doesnt matter if official or subversive -mechanisms. We are initiating the projects, supporting and also parasiting on other projects, creating new situations and also appropriating events fitting to our philosophy. We've never tried to look very stylistically fashionable and to create the image of important and high estimated institution. We are simply adopting already created examples, but not only those of the visual design as it is evident by comparison with Soros Contemporary Art Center for example (SCCA-Prague; SCCA-Lithuania, it‘s logo and so on). Sometimes we are imitating the whole mechanism of beaurocratic missuse and corruption inside of these kind of the institutions what cannot be separated from whole well elaborated design. ZCCA-LIBUSIN is the (ussually) non-profit organisation founded 14 October 1998 in Libusin, Czech republic. Beside publishing the magazine Z-ART it deals with essential research of „value-price“ and „strange-normal“ problematics and is active also in other fields. One of its most ambitious aims is trying to find missing or forgotten points in visual art part of spectrum of human culture to help to again connect disconnected. 12 September 1999, Libusin From that time many new things happend so it is possible to emphasize another subject of big interest for us – especially for our Lithuanian branch – “THE SOCIAL RITUALS”. Lithuanian wing usually uses different titles to define itself (ZCCA-Lithuania, ZCCA-International, ZCCA-Libusin - Left Lithuanian Wing etc). Also our painful passion for manipulating, mistwisting, misrepresenting and misuse is quite new. The deformations created by recycling the information especially in media bring us pleasure beyond any description. It is not easy to speak about artists representing or being represented by our center, because part of our practising reseach is also relation between Individual + Identity. We are trying to melt the identity, dissolve it, merge it, estrange it, change or demonize it and to enjoy the whole process. Usually you can only very rarely differentiate how much the thing is a common matter and how much individual. There are some concrete facts or just traces of ZCCA activities: Regular column: TIP ZCCA in the Czech art magazine “ UMELEC/THE ARTIST ” (until 2004). We would like also to acquaint the public with until now seven thematic issues of the Z-Art magazine: 1/ Short Stories ZCCA also takes over the responsibility on all the subjects published in the following books: “Los Artistas Unidos Jamas Seran Vencidos!“, Alytus, 2001. Very important to the international ZCCA activity was the discourse held by Redas Dir zys in N.E.W.S . International Seminar on Contemporary Art Issues Keywords of the Baltic Glossary (Galeria Noass, Latvian National Art Museum, Riga, Latvia in May 2000). It was published under the title On Art, Politics and Institution through Alternative, Information and Censonship in the Baltic art magazine Mare Articum, issue 1(6), 2000. ZCCA together with Alytus Art School and supported by Open Society Fund (actually Soros foundation) had organized National contest of children art on the theme “Free Martin Zet!“ (Martin Zet is living Czech artist and also the activist of ZCCA and the founder as well) in Lithuania in 2002. ZCCA have influenced IAPAO (International Association of Performance Art Organizers) to use some strategies elaborated by ZCCA and is secretly incorporated into the organization and to the numerous other organizations as well. Very new activity of the activists of ZCCA is to meet the Mayors in the cities where artists work and also to convoke press conferences.
