We know what’s to be done. But how?
Abstract
Burundi is an NGO operating in Bratislava, aiming to provide and use both physical and virtual space for contemporary cultural production, on the intersection of media art, technology and activism vectors. It hasn’t got an clearly set agenda, it’s rather an organism evolving according to it’s parts – both offical members and affiliated groups of people from various backgrounds. Although we use also the traditional model of “presenting” works, our main aim is to serve as a platform for collaborative work, information and knowledge exchange. This stems from the observation that we live in a intensely networked society and thus have to act according to it – faciliate connections between different groups and individuals. In my presentation, i’m going to discuss examples when we failed and succeeded to live up to this. |
